Your private guide/driver will pick you up from your hotel, airport or cruise ship in Amsterdam. In a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle you drive in 1,5 hours to Giethoorn. You drive through the Flevopolder, reclaimed land, which was a sea only 65 years ago.
Giethoorn is car-free. With it's many canals, the village is best enjoyed from the water. On an authentic wooden boat you cruise peacefully over the village waterways for 1-hour (included). Admire the thatched roofed farms, nicely kept gardens, many the wooden bridges and many water birds. After your return it is time for a local lunch at one of the restaurants. You have some free time to walk the narrow paths along the canals and simply soak up the easy-going atmosphere of the village.
