If you are Italian do not go there. The only Italian thing there, is the name. Not even the chef. We didn’t try the pizza but fish dishes. Uneatable! The place is very nice but it is not Italian kitchen. Good espresso. But fish with cipolla is not acceptable. Good choices for the wine. But they simply lie about the Italian kitchen

Really lovely Italian place. Friendly service, laid back atmosphere and great food. In the summer there are quite a few tables outside so a nice spot is easily found.

An affordable restaurant with Italian cuisine. In that sense, honest, no nonsense, perfectly fine. The food is what you’d expect, I would say the pizzas are a little better than the risottos. The waitstaff is fine, by Dutch standards (foreign visitors might not be impressed, but that’s a wider issue of the country, not so much of the restaurant). In all of those regards it’s a perfectly good choice for a simple meal with some friends, and I would have given it a higher score if it weren’t for the acoustics. Osteria Vicini is a single, square room with a vaulted, concrete ceiling resting on concrete pillars and tall windowpanes in between those to form the exterior wall. There is no sound deadening material anywhere in sight. There is much reverb it could have been a shipping container. I carry concert earplugs on my keychain and ended up wearing them.
