What to expect?

The dream trek for many trekkers, Annapurna Circuit, is the most popular classic trekking route in Nepal. This route takes you all the way from subtropical jungle to high-altitude plateau, culminating in Thorung La at 5416 m then descends to subtropical jungle region. This is an adventurous 300 kilometres hike around the majestic Annapurna range that includes Annapurna I (8091m), the tenth highest mountain on earth.

Annapurna Circuit Trek is an adventurous 300 km hike around the majestic Annapurna massif. The trek starts from a low altitude and at one point it reaches a height of 5416 meters at the Thorang La pass. This splendid pass is one of the best points on the face of earth to view the sublime beauty of the mighty Himalayas. Annapurna circuit trek offers chances to Visit Ice lake & Tilicho lake. If you have a flexible time frame then there can be a visit to Tilicho Lake in this trek. You need three nights in addition too to the 16 to visit Tilicho lake. Annapurna circuit trek covers the visit to Ice lake. It can be visited on the day of rest at Manang (day 8). A road is being built on Annapurna circuit trek up to Manang.

The Annapurna circuit trek follows Marsyangdi River up to Manang valley and then climbs down to the melodramatic valley of Kali Gandaki into lower Mustang. The most challenging part of this trek is crossing Thorang La pass at 5416m, which offers close quarter views of Annapurna ranges, Dhaulagiri (8167m), Manaslu (8163m), Tilicho (7134m), Fishtail (6993m), Chulu East (6584m), Pisang (6091m) etc. The Mustang valley is home to world's deepest Kali Gandaki gorge as well as the shrine of Chumi Gyatsa or Muktinath which features a mud statue of Avalokitesvara and an eternal flame. You will also visit culture town of Jomsom (originally Dzong Sak) on the bank of Kali Gandaki River, the home of Thakali people and their unique culture and cuisine.

The entire Annapurna trekking trail falls under Annapurna Conservation Area, largest conservation area in Nepal. The geography and vegetation here ranges from tropical to alpine highlighting rhododendron and Juniper forests, Himalayan peaks, high altitude pastures, trans-Himalayan valleys, forests, lakes and glaciers. The area preserves endangered species as Snow Leopards, Tibetan Argali, Musk Deer, Tibetan Wolf and six species of Himalayan pheasants.


Day 01 - Arrive at Kathmandu (1300m), transfer to hotel.

You will be greeted at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Then you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening you will enjoy a welcome dinner at an authentic Nepali Restaurant.

Day 02 - Kathmandu sightseeing and trek orientation.

The morning will begin to familiarize you to the incredible culture of Kathmandu valley. We are going to do the sightseeing tour to some of the World Heritage Sites (Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, OR Boudhanath and Pashupatinath). You will see temples, religious sites and the old royal palace. We will introduce you to your trekking guide in the afternoon.

Day 03 - Kathmandu to Chamje - DRIVE (1410m), 9 hrs.

We drive form Kathmandu to Chanje via Beshishahar. We will pass by hills, mountains and beautiful waterfall. The trail also passes by terraced rice fields along with steep vertical cliffs and then over to Chamje, following the Marsyangdi River. Overnight at Lodge where we will enjoy local cuisine.

Day 04 - Chamje to Dharapani (1960m), 5–6 hrs.

We will enter beautiful Manang valley. We pass by villages and small terraced farming of potatoes, barley and corn. We will leave the farms behind and enter to rhododendrons and bamboo forest. We will stay overnight in Dharapani.

Day 05 - Dharapani to Chame (2710m) 5 - 6 hrs.

Today, we start trekking over the steep trail. This will rewards us great views of Lamjung Himal (6983m), Annapurna II (7937m) and Annnapurna IV (7725m). We pass by several hot springs along the way to Chame.

Day 06 - Chame to Pisang (3300m), 5 - 6 hours.

We enter the U-shaped valley of Manang where we will cross Marsyangdi Nadi for several times. The trail will rise 500 meters above the river as we move upward in the valley.

Day 07 - Pisang to Manang (3540m), 6 – 7 hrs.

Manang is the major village of the Manang District. We will keep the upper trail as it offers the splendid views of the mountains. Annapurna massif in the south is seen and the Mustang region is in the north. We will visit Barge monastery, the biggest one in Manang. The environment becomes colder and drier as we climb upwards.

Day 08 - Rest in Manang.

Acute mountain sickness can be a serious problem in trekking, so we'll spend the day in Manang to get acclimatized. We will stay in Manang observing beautiful view of greenery, mountains, Chortens and Monasteries. We can also explore unique culture and life style of local people. We'll visit around or take a short hike nearby.

Day 09 - Manang to Yak Kharka (4110m), 3 - 4 hours.

The trek is shorter today because of a higher elevation. We leave Manang and Marsyangdi Valley as we enter the Jarsang River Valley. The trail leads north and passes a few villages and continues to gain elevation. This is an area of pasturelands where yaks and horses graze. We reach to Yak Kharka for overnight stay.

Day 10 - Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi (4600m), 4hours.

Todays trek takes us to the bottom of Thorang La Pass at the busy little bazaar of Thorang Phedi (4600m).

Day 11 - Thorang Phedi - Thorang La Pass (5416m) to Muktinath (3800m), 7 – 8 hrs.

Thorang La Pass is the highest point of the entire trek. The trip begins very early morning with climbing toward Thorong La. Top of Thorong La offers amazing views of the landscapes. This is probably the best view point to see the entire Annapurna Mountains. From here, we walk downhill towards the sacred city of Muktinath, the religious site of both Hindus and Buddhists. We will spend the night in Muktinath

Day 12 - Muktinath to Jomsom (2670m), 4 -5 hours.

The trail will pass by the Kali Gandaki, the world's deepest gorge. Here, the climate is relatively dry and the landscape looks like a desert. Muktinath to Kagbeni is surrounded by wonderful geological forms. You can visit the quaint village of Jarkot, with interesting houses and lots of green fields. At this point you can choose between two routes: one goes directly to Jomsom, and the other goes to Kagbeni. The village is located at the edge of Kali-Gandaki River

Day 13 - Fly to Pokhara, 25 minutes.

Fly to Pokhara in the morning. You can spend your day like you want. You can relax in the hotel or visit some of the interesting places in Pokhara.

Day 14 - Return to Kathmandu.

We take a Tourist Coach to return to Kathmandu. We will have some time to look around in the city and shopping.

Day 15 - Sightseeing in Patan or Bhaktapur city.

World Heritage Site cities neighboring to Kathmandu are Patan and Bhaktapur. Patan is known as The City of Fine Arts. Patan Durbar Square is one of the places in the Valley, where the medieval arts and architecture still remain in its original state. The Durbar Square is full of ancient places, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings, mostly the Hindu and Buddhist monuments.

Similarly, the medieval town of Bhaktapur, or the Town of the Devotees, preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. One is sure to feel like traveling back into the past while walking along the Bhaktapur thoroughfares, squares and streets.

Day 16 - Departure transfer

We transfer you to the airport three hours prior to your flight time to fly to your onward destination. We wish your best time ahead.
