What to expect?


Annapurna base Camp Trek is the classic trek in Nepal that takes you to the base of Mt. Annapurna 8091m and other over 7000m high mountains trekking via Machapuchare base camp.

Situated at an altitude of 4300m, the Annapurna Basecamp is the destination of this trekking tour is considered to be a natural amphitheater as it is surrounded all around by the different peaks of Annapurna range namely: Annapurna South, Annapurna 1st, Machhapuchhre and Barashshikhar. The Annapurna Basecamp can be reached by passing through the forests of bamboo and rhododendron. The route to Ghorepani and Annapurna sanctuary starts from Birethanti, and as you trek upward ahead you will encounter on the way the beautiful Gurung villages of Ghandrung, Chhomrong, Dhampus and the rural communities of Modi Khola. In the course of these 14 days long trekking you will observe with enthusiasm the life style of the farmers dedicating to make their lands fertile. Moreover, this trekking route apart from other could also be the destination for nature lovers.

Arrive Kathmandu

Upon your arrival, our staff will receive you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Refresh and relax in the afternoon followed by welcome dinner in the evening. In the mean time, we introduce you with your trekking crews.

Day 02


Today you will spend sightseeing around Kathmandu. You will visit four world heritage sites in Kathmandu Valley, namely Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambunath (Monkey Temple) and Bouddha Nath.

Day 03

KATHMANDU TO POKHARA (820 M) by Tourist Bus - 6-7 hours

Your trekking guide will meet you at 6.00 AM in the morning and take you to the Tourist Bus Station. You will enjoy traveling alongside the Trisuli and Marshyangdi rivers and be passing by beautiful sceneries and rural villages on the way. Upon arrival at the Pokhara, we will check into our hotel, freshen up, then your guide will take you boating on Fewa Lake and a little walking around the Phewa Lake.

Day 04

DRIVE TO NAYAPUL AND TREK TO ULLERI (2440M) , 1-hour driving and 4.5 hours walking.

After breakfast, we drive you to Nayapul and commence our Annapurna Base Camp Trek right way. We will pass by Birthanthi village where your trekking permits are checked. We then continue our trek observing beautiful scenery of the waterfalls and the forest. Crossing the Modi Khola river, we keep left for Thikhe Dhunga and Ulleri for our first over night in the rural Nepal. As we continue our trek, we will cross another river Bhurungdi river. After crossing two suspension bridges of Tikhedungda, we will climb almost 3000 steps of Ulleri hill and finally step-into the lodge we stay.

Day 05

ULLERI TO GHOREPANI (2860M). 5-7 HOURS, 5-7 hours From here the trail goes gradually up and the views of Annapurna South and Hiun Chuli are seen from the top of Ulleri. We pass by dense rhododendron and oak forests and the villages of Banthanti and Nangethani. When we arrive in Ghorepani village, we will have to trek for another 10 minutes to reach the ridge for beautiful panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. We will stay at a lodge here.

Day 06


You will be given a wakeup call to get ready for a hiking to Poon Hill (3210m). Poon Hill is an ideal sunrise spot to see the panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. Walking in the dark with help of torch light, we arrive at Poon Hill after 45 minutes. We will spend around half an hour, we head back down to our Guest House for breakfast.
We then pack our bag-pack continues to trek to Tadapani (2650m) via Deurali and Banthanti. Along the trail, we will definitely see monkeys and some birds on the route. Tadapani itself a nice view point to see the close view of Annapurna South (7129m), Hiun Chuli (6440m) and The Fishtail

Today, we go downhill for 2 hours. We will cross a small stream and then gradually climb Gurung settlement of Gurjung. We will reach Chhomrong for and take a rest for rest of the day. Chhomrong is a bigger settlement of the Gurung community. B/Fast, Lunch & Dinner Included

Day 08

**CHOMRONG TO HIMALAYA (2800), 5 hours

Observing a morning view from Chomrong, we continue our trekking to get to Himalaya via Bamboo and Dovan. Today's walking is completely different as we walk though a deep gorge and on the banks of the Modi river. Today, you will hear the noise of Modi river and the birds on the background while walking and that will concentrate your mind. You will have a chance to see some wildlife including monkeys and Himalayan goats.

Day 09


Today, we trek towards our final destination Annapurna Base Camp( ABC). You will be overwhelmed by the scenic beauty being surrounded by the snow -capped mountains. In the afternoon, your guide will take you for a close view of the Annapurna I (8091m), where you will see Annapurna glacier. Annapurna South997200m), Hiun Chuli(6444m) and Fishtail (6793m) and Annapurna III will be standing on your back.

Day 10

ABC TO BAMBOO (2310M), 6-7 hours

We will wake up early in the morning and see the magnificent sun rise view. You will have a chance to take photos while sun rays hitting the Himalayas. By the time, breakfast will be ready!! We will then return to Bamboo hiking all the way downhill. You will lose almost 2000 meters in 6-7 hours when you Bamboo. ****

Day 11


Leaving Bamboo behind, we climb for 30 minutes to reach Khuldighar where the experimental sheep farm is. From here, the trail is gradual up first then flat and downhill until we arrive Sinuwa. We trek downhill again and after crossing over the Chhomrong Khola uphill to up to Chhomrong village. From Chhomrong, the trail descends very steeply for 1 hour to the village of Jhinu. We drop our bags here to go for taking a bath on the hot springs descending to Modi Khola river.

Day 12


Today is the last day of the ABC trek. Leaving Jhinu, we firstly descend, cross the river and follow the Flat all the way to Birethanti then returning to Nayapul. Here our vehicle will have been waiting to drive back to Pokhara. We check into our hotel and your Happy Hour starts thereafter. 6 hours and 1 - hour drive.

You can either drive back to Kathmandu or alternatively take a 30 min flight at an additional cost. On this successful journey to ABC, we will offer a farewell dinner.

As per your departure time schedule, we take you to the airport for your return journey. We must say you a 'sad good bye' then!

Is this experience for me?

Days will include 5-7 hours of hiking, often uphill. Annapurna basecamp is at 4300 meter altitude. Walking and staying at this altitude may cause some discomforts participants need to be aware of.

What do I need to bring?


Well broken-in walking shoes, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes. ****


Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.

Other equipment

Sleeping bag (4 seasons), trekking holdall or stash sack with lock, daypack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries, lip salve.

Other items

Insect repellent, toilet articles, diary, toilet roll, laundry soap, wet ones, pocket knife, tie cord, towel, sewing kit, plasters, binoculars, camera, film, cards and personal medical kit
