Enjoy the breathtaking sceneries of the south of Morocco in this weeklong excursion through the Moroccan desert, with its Atlas Mountains, gorges, green valleys, old kasbahs, oasis, and sand dunes. Visitors will also get the chance to meet some members of nomadic desert tribes, as well as ride a camel.
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate - Zagora
Depart from Marrakech at 7:30 am, en route to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the "deep south". You'll be crossing the mountains of the High Atlas by the Tizin-Tichka pss, which offers some incredible scenery.
Before arriving at Ouarzazate, we will enjoy a visit to a famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, classified by UNESCO as world heritage site. Lunch in Ouarzazate.
After this, we'll continueon towards Zagora by road, along the left bank of the Draa. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Zagora -Tazzarine - Alnif - Merzouga
After breakfast, we'll depart from Merzouga to Zagora via Tazzarine, traveling through beautiful villages.
Lunch at Tazzarine.
During the afternoon, we'll continue on to Merzouga and Rissani via the Mecissi crossing. Dinner and overnight in a bivouac in Merzouga.
Day 3: Merzouga - Erfoud – Tinghir
After breakfast, departure to Erfoud. City tour and then on to Tinghir, famous for its lush palm grove. Lunch at Tinghir. Afternoon spent visiting the Todra Gorge, natural high rocky cliffs. It is here that instead of many film productions.
Dinner and overnight in a beautifull hotel.
4th Day: Tinghir - Ouarzazate:
