22 bis Rue Skala, Essaouira 44000, Morocco
Very nice staff - cool friendly place. Food was delicious, (simple but done very well). Cosy, more casual dining on the maisonette. Serves alcohol. Would really recommend the duck or beef.
Small, friendly restaurant; we felt very welcomed, almost family like. Good idea to make a reservation. A sense of elegance in the quality of the food, the preparation and presentation. You feel you are getting an upscale dining experience for a fair price. Alcohol served - nice wines. The fish is fresh catch. Review based on one time visit-would return next time here.
We read the Google reviews and decided to go to Umia for our last night in Essaouira. It was not only the best meal we had in Essaouira but the best food we had in all of Morroco. The resturant is not showy but has a cosy charm. The service was unreal, we spoke to the owner and it was like we were having dinner with family. Highly recommended the clam risotto it was outstanding. This is a must dinning experience in Essaouria
Terrific food, mainly French and a bit on the expensive side, but well worth the cost!
Nice place and ambience.......food was fine but portions extremely small. Left feeling hungry to be honest.
