A better place for people who love to see how the manual process of making good leather can be done in a very old-fashioned and talented way! I recommend everyone to go there and see the workers there who keep working hours and hours to provide the customer with the best products ever.... They salute everyone and they love being treated great

I bought few leather jackets here for quite reasonable price. The quality is very good. Plenty of colourful choices here. Wide range of products. This is the place if you want to see how leathery products are made manually. How it's coloured. Very fascinating. The smell though, can be unpleasant.

I read a number of reviews before visiting the tannery. I have absolutely no sympathy for those people who complain about having to view via an adjoining shop. Remember the tannery is a working business not an amusement park. The 10DM charged by the shops do tourists can use the shop's facilities to view the tannery is nothing to a tourist. Don't complain you are lucky enough to to get a look at all. Havi g got that off my chest other observations: You don't need a guide Google maps will find it for you Say no to the touts they will soon go looking for easier pickings No 10 is the best place to see the tannery. They charged me 10MD which is less than €1. No 10 do want to to sell you stuff. After all they are primarily in the leather retail business not the tourist business. They will negotiate their price - and if you find that difficult confine your tourism to cruises or resorts or other nanny activities. The tannery is fascinating and worth seeing. Maybe not sanitised like the Apple shop or McDonald's or some other first world homogenized experience. Why come to Morocco if you don't like Moroccan people or experiences?

Best place to visit and experience the leather making process in a traditional way.

I love this place. Smell is not as bad as I expected. Luckily I got invited by a local for free! so great to see the people doing the work. The leather dyeing industry is interesting. They use saffron, indigo etc as the dyes. Remember to go around noon so you can see them working.
