The staff were amazing and able to fully accommodate English speakers. Access to the outdoor onsen is 1000 yen and towel rental costs Another 400 yen (although you can bring your own towel). The onsen has an amazing view and the sulfur bath was heavenly. I went right at opening around 11A.M and I was the only one in the bath. There is a very nice hike 15 minutes away from the onsen up to kurama-dera Temple.

The onsen was very nice especially the one outdoors since the surrounding is stunning, the food was also very good.
