Without doubt for me this is the most iconic, most beautiful temple in Japan! The golden walls are shining in the sunlight which makes it look great in any season! Since its beauty is known all over the world it can be a little crowded sometimes but I still liked it and if you’re coming all the way to Japan from overseas it’s a place not to be missed!

By far the most impressive temple in Japan! The gold is bright, shiny, and so easy on the eyes! I couldn’t take enough pictures! It was spectacular! Plus the water and the trees surrounding provide such a pretty backdrop. Worth the money to get in!

Very busy temple. Outside painted in gold. Majestic without a doubt, but incredibly busy even in low tourist season. Pay to enter (400-500¥/ person) Gardens very well maintained. Easy to get cabs outside. No metro nearby.

A place of significant beauty and serenity. Gardens are visibly maintained with a huge amount of devotion. The temple is very impressive. I would prioritize this as a critical site to visit. It was quite busy when we attended. We also saw a snake in the gardens which was super cool!

Probably the most well-known and most beautiful temple to visit. When you're here you can imagine this being true. The structure and all surrounding nature is very well maintained. The temple is well balanced to its surroundings and therefor stands our very good. Be sure to visit this when it's not that crowded since a lot of people can be present. Certainly worth its visit.
