8 Chome-10 Ginza, 中央区 Tokyo 104-0061, Japan
Very good place for local shopping at tokyo. Very nice souvenirs & other stuff. Tax free shop.
Great spot to hit up for just about anything. Perfect if you’re looking to pick up snacks or souvenirs to bring home to friends and family. This location is a bit difficult to shop as the stairs to the different levels are rather hidden away. Staff at the tax-free counter aren’t exactly the friendliest bunch...
All you can buy 24 hours operating store with tax refund scheme, only on 2nd floor but the process for refund is very quick and effective.
This Don Quijote is about half the size as most of the ones I have been to, but still so much stuff. Stacked to the ceilings. Sensory overload. You end up buying way more than you intended, but that is the draw of the store. Finding random things.
Ginza is an upscale district and while I'm aware that Don Quijote is a discount shop, the prices were way too high for most of the simple stuff. The shop is over stuffed with too much. It's difficult to walk between isles. It's hard to find something if you're looking for a specific item, like I was. I'm sure it's a convenient store for house items. The tourist stuff was spread out. It was tiring to look through 7 floors of packed stuff. And the website online doesn't sell the stuff they have in the store. So unfortunately i will be back to buy more of what I need. Also! For travelers having them do "no tax" on your purchase....you have to buy everything at the tax free specific registers, which are on the top floor. Alao, they will tell you that in order to turn in your tax free paperwork at the airport, everything has to stay wrapped in the plastic bags. That is not true. Feel free to enjoy your tax free purchases while you're out there!
