Don’t believe the guidebooks, this is not worth seeing - gardens are not well maintained and pretty sparse. I’ve seen much better, free gardens in other European countries. They also don’t give you a printed map (2-3 posted maps throughout the park but given how expansive it is, should print maps). Porcelain museum was interesting but none of the materials are in English. Given that this park is free for Italians and ONLY tourists pay, one would think they’d have English translations.

These gardens are nice, but a little sparse for gardens. I would recommend the nearby Rose gardens instead, as they actually feel like gardens versus a natural forest, and they are free. We did like hiking around the Boboli gardens, but again, not many fountains or flowers/shrubs to enjoy. Lots of trees and a pretty over look into the Tuscany side. Some of the views are great down into Florence as well.

Gorgeous expansive gardens and a bunch of monuments scattered about. The porcelain museum stop was worth walking to as well. Some steep slopes so wear good walking shoes. Able to spend as much time as you like to see more or less of the whole thing. Stunning view from the top Hill on the north (if I remember right) side.

Quite a shame how one of the richest cities in Italy does not manage to look after one of the most famous historical gardens in the world. You can hardly feel the former splendour. Feels like you are in a developing country that has no funds to preserve its sights. Most imperial gardens of central Europe are freely accessible and much better kept.

I was not impressed with the gardens. I expected more, because of the guidebooks and the reviews I read. The gardens were a little sparse. There were very few fountains or flowers to see and enjoy, mostly greenery. But what I found nice is that when you buy a ticket they also give you a map and also there was a discount for students.
