Piazza Castello, 20121 Milano MI, Italy
The area is really nice and the fountain and castle are nice but we could not find where to enter. Turns out it was closed as things are randomly closed all over Italy at various days. There are museums and you can apparently enter the castle for free but I can't confirm it, there was very little clear signage or details around. There is a big park behind also so either way worth a walk through.
When i went during a hot summer day, they had solar panel powered phone charging stations! They also had refreshing water fountain where you can drink its water. They also had some green areas but unfortunately you can't sit on them :o The place was quite heavily secured
There is no entrance fee to go inside the courtyard which is a very pleasant walk. But you have to pay a fee to access the inside of the castle itself. The upside is that there are tons of things to see inside if you’re into paintings (with a sculpture by Michelangelo). They also had an exhibit of old musical instruments that I found interesting. Overall, this place is definitely a must-see if you’re in Milan.
So incredible to observe the structure of this castle. You can see how everything was built strategically to have 360 views from the watch towers over what used to be a moat. I absolutely loved it
Good coffee, great value. The staff understands English however does not speak it. The place looks like a nice and quiet place for the locals. We found it by accident and it was a very pleasant surprise.
