Via Brera, 28, 20121 Milano MI, Italy
Stumbled upon this place. Stunning and amazing to see. I would really recommend a visit to the library. Up to you if it is worth visiting the art gallery - I didn't bother.
A must visit museum. Maybe the greatest in Milan. It is better to book in advance in order to avoid the long wait for the tickets. We visit the museum at Saturday afternoon and it was not that busy.
This is a beautiful place to visit full of history of Milan. Much of it is used by the university and while some areas are not available to tourists and the public it is still a really impressive Building and we enjoyed walking around it immensely
Disregard all the negative comments you may have read. The reception desk and ticket sale was courteous and helpful. Every work has both Italian and English commentary to read. Audio guide is available for additional cost. The collection is superlative. Enjoy!
I enjoyed the collection, but the ticket seller was incredibly rude. Despite it saying that EU teachers in arts (INCLUDING literature) were permitted free entry, she did not accept my Dutch university ID. I told her that literature was listed in the subjects on the board behind me and she simply ignored me. This honestly colored my visit, and I was left unable to enjoy the art as much as I would have liked.
