What to expect?
The Burren, County Clare
Your knowledgeable local guide will help you explore the wonderful and unique landscape of the Burren. You will get to understand the geology of the limestone karst, and how man and farming, as well as nature, have shaped it. You will get to interpret the landscape, and see some of the archaeology of over 5000 years of human habitation. The Burren is famous for its wildflowers, with arctic, alpine and sub-tropical plants grow side by side! Your guide will identify the special flowers of the Burren, according to what is in season. The walk will be at a relaxed pace, and will be 5.5 km (3 miles) long, and is suitable for persons with a reasonable level of fitness.
