An early medieval church with extensive history. Impressive stained glass windows. I was a casual visitor with no guide. Experience would have been better with a guide. The separate pews for medieval Knights and display of their coats very impressive. Also the hierarchical labelling of government and religious and academic dignitaries for their seating in pews and the vacant places left over for the commoners I suppose. Also , I think this is a church devoid of religious images (except for the stained glass windows depicting various biblical themes, the life of St Patrick, Patron saint of Ireland). Imposing and beautiful surroundings including the small park adjacent, well maintained. Otherwise the bewildering large number of memorial plaques, statues and what not for the dearly departed vie for space...Meaningful for the respective families no doubt.

This is a beautiful old cathedral. It is massive on the inside and it dwarfs the worshippers within. There is a great deal of history within its walls, going back over 800 years. This pillar of the Dublin community is definitely worth the price of admission. There are lovely, friendly people working within the church, giving you all the information you need. This stop will take at least a few hours if you can walk around and look at all of the statues and plaques. If you are lucky on a day you are visiting they may be practicing the sermons or singing that they will be doing during the services later, its lovely. Such an awesome place which holds a special place in our hearts just like the rest of Dublin!

The architecture is exquisite, beautiful building, inside and out. If your visiting Dublin it’s definitely a must see. It felt a little expensive but I guess that’s to be expected of any tourist attraction this popular. Part of the exterior is under construction so the front is fenced off, sort of steals from the experience a bit. Still worth going though.

Beautiful Cathedral in Central Dublin. There are regular free events here including organ concerts. Worth going to hear the amazing pipe organ. Its like the organist is playing the building itself. The often have a screen so you can see the organist's hands as they play. Check out the beautiful park beside the Cathedral while you're here.

Wow, just amazing. Founded in 1191, 43 meter spire. Spectacular amazing work of Irish History and Art. I was blessed to be able to have the chance to visit this site from Los Angeles, United States of America. This really made my trip. So beautifully detailed. I can only image the craftsman ship that went into building one of the most beautiful cathedrals I have seen in all of my travels. I am simply in awe.
