Whale Watching – 100% Whale Watching
This tour is a 100% whale watching tour meaning we will spend the whole time watching and observing the whales. Our surroundings is the beautiful Eyjafjörður Bay, which has in the recent years been the habitat of humpback whales, mink whales, dolphins and other species.
What to expect?

Enjoy a comfortable tour while observing the fantastic scenery, bird life, and of course the diverse range of whale species of Eyjafjordur. Commonly, we see Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Harbour Porpoise, and White Beaked Dolphins. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a Killer Whale or a Blue Whale!

Each one of our captains spend their winters as professional fishermen, so you can be assured you’re in good hands during the summer season of whale watching. In 2018 we had a 99.5% success rate of spotting whales and expect no less this year (even though we cannot guarantee the same success rate).

- Whale Watching Hauganes is located in a small fishing village called Hauganes on the west coast of Eyjafjörður Bay in northeast Iceland, just 30 minutes drive north of Akureyri on road 82.
