The tour will start with the pick-up from your hotel in Reykjavik and then we will drive north to Gerðuberg - the monumental approx. 15-meters-tall basalt wall which was created in the cooling process of the flowing basaltic lava by the ocean.

The next highlight of the tour will be meeting seals at the Yitri-Tunga beach which is one of the best spots for their observation in West Iceland. Snaefellsnes is also a perfect place for bird and whale-watching.

After Yitri-Tunga, our next stop will be the church in Budir. It is one of few wooden black churches in Iceland and one of the most popular photo locations among the photographers and Instagrammers.

Then we will continue driving along the diverse coastline of the peninsula and discovering popular tourist attractions as well as the hidden gems.

Before we will reach the tip of the peninsula and Snaefellsjokull National Park we will visit the charming fishing village of Arnarstapi where we will have a walk along the volcanic coast and observe waves crushing onto basalt rocks abundant in bird life. We can also take some more time at this beautiful location and have a short walk on the path between lava mossy fields that connects Arnarstapi and Hellnar.

From here we will already start to notice the majestic silhouette of the Snaefellsjokull glacier-volcano that gain the worldwide interest for the when Julius Verne described in his book 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'.

Our next stops will be at the beautiful black beaches in Djúpalónssandur situated at the foot of Snaefellsjokull and fabulous Lóndrangar sea cliffs from where we will be able to take even a closer look at this magical volcano.

Snaefellsness is also abundant in volcanic craters. Today we will visit Saxhóll which is approx. 100meters-high and it's a perfect spot for everybody who likes short hikes. From here you will have also a fantastic view of the Ocean. One of the top attraction of this tour is the most photographed mountain in Iceland - Kirkjufell. The mountain becomes even more famous in 2017 after being featured in the last season of the Game of Thrones HBO TV Series. Make sure you also walk to Kirkjufellsfoss to take the iconic photograph of the waterfall with the church mountain in the background.

If we will be lucky enough with the forecast, we will try to hunt for the Northern Lights of on the way back to Reykjavik (September - April).
