We go for a great stroll into the lava surrounding Mt. Helgafell volcano and continue on through lava fields and across beautiful hillsides to the old Kaldársel sheep corral. As we ride through this magestic scenery you will see different unique formations in the rough lava and the Bláfjöll Mountains towering above on the horizon. The horses follow safe paths through the beautiful countryside to give you a fun and peaceful horseback experience in Iceland.
After the horse riding tour we immerse into the velvet darkness of the Leiðarendi lava cave. Explore and discover the marvels that the volcano created more than 2000 years ago. Leiðarendi cave, situated in one of the most active volcanic areas in the world, is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube. We will climb, crawl and walk our way through the travel beneath the surface. This uniquely daring adventure will exhibit the Icelandic lava fields from two very different angles, giving you a deep understanding of how Iceland was created and how the primeval forces of nature continue to shape it everyday!
