Grimsey is a remote island, north of Iceland. With the population of around 80 people, Grimsey is the northernmost inhabited territory in Iceland. This tour takes you to the magical Grimsey, where you can actually cross the Arctic Circle.
The Arctic Grimsey Day Tour is a day tour from Dalvik (30 min drive from Akureyri) where you'll take the ferry to Grimsey to meet the guides at Arctic Trip.
They will show you around both on foot and by bus, get to know the history of Grimsey village and its inhabitants, cross the arctic circle and if weather and conditions allow - catch a puffin and take a selfie with it. Light snacks are included.
You will arrive in the island at 12:00. The tour starts at 12:30 and finishes at 15:00. The ferry departs at 17:00 so you'll have time to explore on your own after the tour.
A day in the Arctic is unforgettable!
