This guided minibus tour visits many of the country’s most famous scenic destinations, including Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, Fjadrargljufur Canyon, and Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon. Your guide knows the best ways to get around the South Coast while keeping you free to focus on scenery and spot the Northern Lights, if conditions are right.

What to expect?

Day One: Golden Circle

You will be picked up in the morning from your pick-up location. On this day you'll explore the famous Golden Circle. The first stop of the day is at the UNESCO heritage site, Thingvellir National Park. This is the site where the Icelandic Parliment was established in 930 AD and the location where the two tectonic plates meet.

Next up is the hot spring area of Geysir, where you can expect to see Strokkur geyser erupt every 10 minutes. The last part of the Golden Circle is the magnificent waterfall of Gullfoss. There you can see the waterfall fall into the deep canyon of Hvítá in a couple of steps. After a lunch break, you'll then go to the Secret Lagoon, where you can soak yourself in the geothermal pool surrounded by small geysers. After a full day of exploration, we'll drop you off at your hotel accommodation.

Day Two: South Coast of Iceland

In the morning you'll be picked up by the guide that will be with you the next couple of days. We head out from the accommodation and drive through the fertile farming grounds of the south, passing through small villages before we come to the first highlight of the day; Seljalandsfoss waterfall.

Here you will have an opportunity to walk behind this spectacular cascade and really experience the force of the water at first hand. Close by we find Skógafoss waterfall where we also stop for a while to take in the scenery.

After the waterfalls, we go down to Reynisfjara black sand beach. With its basalt columns and the impressive rock formations, Reynisdrangar, rising from the ocean just off the coast, it is truly a magical place to visit. We stop for lunch at the coastal village of Vík, before we start making our way further east. Before we reach our accommodation place we will travel through a landscape as you have never seen before. After dinner, we will enjoy the evening and recharge for the coming day.

Day Three: Glacier Day

We start the day at the picturesque Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. During the summer, you have the opportunity to take an amphibian boat ride between the icebergs but in other seasons, you can use your time here to take in the scenery and get the greatest photos of you live.

From the glacier lagoon, we make our way to Vatnajökull glacier where we prepare for the glacier hike. Our skilled guides will go over all safety features and equipment before we set foot on the glacier. Vikisjökull is an outlet glacier Vatnajökull Europes biggest ice cap. On our journey, we will come across incredible ice formations, crevasses and the impressive icefall, where we will see up close how the ancient ice stoically falls hundreds of meters off the mountain top.

The Vatnajökull national park area is one of Iceland's biggest movie star known from Batman Begins, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and of course, Game of Thrones. After the glacier hike, we start making our way back to Reykjavik. We will travel the same route as the day before, but don't worry there will still be a lot of things to see and enjoy on the way. We will drop you off at your accommodation place in Reykjavik after these two days of delight.
