Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Iceland, is home to the popular Crystal Cave. This is one of those places that you are not supposed to visit by yourself. ... The Crystal Cave can only be entered during winter. During the summer, this and other ice tunnels are the glacier's natural draining channels.

Very beautiful and strange place to be. A lot to see here. We did an extrusion to the Katla ice cave and ended up in top of the glacier. Expect some tourism in the high season, but there are enough places to see without it. Really recommend this place to visit.

Went up with Galcier travels, Andrei was a great guide and great photographer. Great time on the ice and in the caves.
