Came here for brunch on a Sunday in September; got there just moments after it opened and did not have to wait. Much of the menu felt like a typical American brunch spot (though the special omelette of the day included fish, which would not be typical in the US). The eggs florentine, with a blue cheese sauce, was amazing--by far the best dish we tried. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Waited 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Then we were told to wait at the bar to clean a table. Several more people came in and got tables. Bartender ignored us. Finally we left. It was clear we weren’t wanted. Most places in Iceland seem American friendly. This isn’t one of them.

The Coocoo's Nest is an amazing place. Everything they do is creative, beautiful, lovely and everyone is very accommodating and nice. We celebrated our wedding at the Coocoo's Nest and the team made it very special. We are vegans and the food is just amazing. The falafel sandwich is awesome, the pizzas are great and the cashew aioli is the best. We were there during our trip multiple times and ordered from the menu as well as having a special dinner planned just for us.

On a Friday night in there capital of Iceland as a vegetarian we had little hope to find dinner options until we landed on the aptly named Coocoos nest. It won't be unfair to say that we had one of the best pizzas of our life and vibe of the restaurant was so nice. Do not miss one meal here. Highly recommended. ( And the brownieeee)

We had our hearts set on breakfast, but they only serve it Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Got the veggie soup and half sandwich. Both were good, albeit a bit bland. Seemed like it was mostly for locals so probably suited to their palettes. Nice staff and fun quirky interior.
