Laugavegur 28, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland
Excellent food...but expect to drop £80 minimum for a meal for two. However this remains very good for Reykjavik prices. Managed to get table without booking (October) so best to book ahead.
Our second time here, and the food was great both times. The menu has changed since we went last, but the food was just as good. They now have really nice skewers, the chicken was really tender and well seasoned. The prices are comparable for Iceland, and although the portions seem small, the food is really rich and flavorful, so you definitely get enough to eat. Nicole was our server and she was so friendly. She made sure to ask us how our food was, and she made the experience really enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I had a fantastic dinner here! The highlights were the roasted oyster mushrooms (pro tip: get two orders of them!) and the date cake. The cauliflower and cod were also excellent. The servers were friendly and the space was cozy. We couldn't have asked for a better meal!
We ate there by virtue of the ratings on Google. However we did not have a satisfactory experience. In general our food was salty. The grilled Ling cod was over charred so there was bitterness added to the other tastes. The grilled oyster mushroom was very salty and we had to order bread to help ourselves eat the mushroom. The waiter tried to upsell us by recommending us to order more food.
We had the meze menu and it was delicious! Great combination of starters, main course and desert. My baby loved the cod and managed to make a big mess without too much complaints from other clients or the staff. The ambiance is really nice and classy. Would definitely come when back in town.
