It is a nice beach but at least when I went it didn't really look that different from other beaches. The road to go there is also really steep and tight when two cars face each other. I really loved the cafe that was on the side of the beach.

Ok, the sand is not exactly red but almost, especially in the evening at sunset. The whole area is beautiful. I recommend reading about the history of it. Especially, the ransacking at Saurbær by English pirates and the macabre romance surrounding Sjöundá farm and the murders committed there. You can still see the ruins of the farm.
