Amazing bath right on the beach front that is free! There are cubbies to put your shoes and clothes and a change room that is only open certain hours. One of the rooms happened to be open when we arrived so we changed quickly. Majority of the time you will likely have to change in your car. We had the place to ourself when we visited in September.

A must if you are in this area or passing through. I almost hate to say it because I would hate to see this amazing spot overrun by tourists, but it's truly amazing. Like one said before me.. a luxury experience for free. Take a dip in the Atlantic and then plunge into the pool like locals do. Great facilities, too.

Simply amazing. Terraced 2 level thermal pools fed by a hot spring. 37-40 degree celcius. Chase it down with a dip in the ocean. All free and funded by the town.

One of our favorite soaks in Iceland. Infinity pool style. This was our first and last soaks after many days. We made a special trip back to Akranes just to hit it again. #hotpot
