Walking up to this waterfall, there's a stream coming out of a slit in the rock. It is quietly unassuming, but if you walk up the stream and balance along the rocks, there's a cove inside with the waterfall. It is not a spectacular waterfall, but being inside this cove made this one special.

The waterfall is located deep in the canyon. To get to it, you have to jump from stone to stone on the river that this waterfall forms. All this in a canyon, almost in a cave. The waterfall looks very cool and is highly recommended to visit. In addition, there is another interesting and very near waterfall - Seljalandsfoss

Go here. Bring your waterproof clothes, you will get soaked. Walking inside highly recommended, the cave around the bottom of the waterfall is otherworldly.

Really cool waterfall in a cave. You go through the stream to get in but there are rocks to use so you don't get you feet wet. Beautiful inside. Well worth the walk up from Seljalandsfoss.

After following the signs to the water fall you will have a very limited view. However, if you follow the water upstream, climbing over the rocks in the water underneath a rocky overhang, you will be treated to a beautiful up close view of the fall, with the sun illuminating the water from above.
