This was one of the best places we visited in Iceland! It's beautiful and charming! Bring warm clothes becasue it's very windy. There are lots of gentle sheep, ducks, and some sweet dogs. The church and cemetery are beautiful. We were there in July and we saw a lot of puffins! I was so excited to be able to watch them. The best part is that no one else was on the clift watching puffins. (Please note that all of these puffin pictures were taken using the zoom on my camera.) We took the noon ferry to Flatey and left that evening. There isn't much to do, so bring a book to read after you're doing exploring. It was nice to relax and read. When it's close to time for the ferry to arrive there is a little depot area that has coffee and hot chocolate. Everything about this island is lovely. It's a must do!
