What To Do in Iceland in December

December is an excellent month to visit Iceland. Experience the local Holiday culture and mind-blowing New Year fireworks and celebrations.

During December, you’ll enjoy the streets lit up with Christmas decoration and the city is bustling. Concerts, cultural events and exhibitions are frequent this time of year. New Year's eve in Iceland is celebrated by shooting up fireworks, which the locals buy from the search and rescue teams in order to fund their operations throughout the year. To put it mildly, the sky will literally be on fire around midnight on New Year's Eve.
