What To Do in Iceland in April

April marks the time of year when spring arrives in Iceland (don’t get fooled, it will still be cold) with the grass turning green. April is a great time to visit to get better prices than in the peak tourist season during summer.

Recommendations

April is an excellent time to visit Reykjavik, enjoy what the city has to offer as well as taking trips outside of the capital city. This time of the year is also the start of the whale-watching season and a good time for various other tours, such as super-jeep tours into the highlands (some offer those all year long) and river rafting down one of Iceland’s glacial rivers.
