What to Do and See in West Iceland

West Iceland is an amazing region of Iceland which is sometimes overlooked by visitors despite it's closeness to the capital. Here are a few great articles, travel blogs and recommendations for things to do and see in West Iceland.

West Iceland spans the area from just north of Reykjavik all the way up to the Westfjords and includes the famous Snæfellsnes peninsula and stretches to Husafell and further into the Icelandic Highlands. Driving the Snæfellsnes peninsula is a popular day trip from Reykjavik although there is so much to see and do that one can easily spend a whole week exploring all the area has to offer.
