Budapest, Kazinczy u., 1075 Hungary
Wanted to visit but was closed on Sunday unfortunately. Supposed to be quite beautiful though.
Beautiful architecture. Large sunagogue with holocaust memorial. There is a beatiful tree with leaves naming a Holocost victim on each leaf and it is also a tribute to those brave people who stood up against the Nazis and tried to help protect Jewish families.
Beautiful inside and outside as well. The ornaments with the traditional Hungarian motives are really special. Worth to go with a guide and get to know everything about Jewish life there in the past and present.
Budapests most beautiful synagogue due to the wonderful blue ceiling. In comparison to the high entrance prices at the Dohány street synagogue this is definitely the one jewish thing every visitor should see when being in Budapest.
Too blue. Had to pay 5 euros to get in. Interesting details on the wall. Learned that Hebrew is written from right to left.
