Beautiful place and a Must see! I happened to be there around the Hungarian national day, where The festival of folk arts was taking place and it was an amazing experience! People were offering lots of handcrafted items, foods, drinks, concerts and folklore performances were bringing people together to enjoy and celebrate. Even without any celebration happening, the Buda castle has so much history to be seen and some of the best viewing points over the City. Definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest. :)

A must visit on your Budapest break. Incredible architecture and statues. Scenic views across the Danube to Pest. Military museum is good. You can get meals that have some green items ( from memory they are called vegetables). Fairly wheelchair friendly.

The Buda side of the River Danube is Budapest offers wonderful sights. The view across the river shows the Parliament building in all its glory. Views in both directions show grandeur of this famous river. A visit to Buda Castle is a MUST! You can travel by funicular railway or you can walk up the steep path which offered stunning views. Once on top we visited all the photogenic architecture including the castle, cathedral and bastion. Fascinating and exciting photogenic architecture.

Very interesting place. Upper levels largely reconstructed, but some of the lower levels original. Museum section is very informative and contains many fragments of early decorative pieces discovered during archaeological digs. This process is ongoing with digs in progress at earlier sections outside the main buildings. Well worth a visit. Good transport links to city centre.

One of the best views of the city from up there. Worth going if you are in Budapest. It's very busy during the weekends so going early would be a good option
