Rethymno in Crete, a lovely city full of little surprises. Long narrow roads and small lanes with houses and shops on either side , cobbled streets (slippery when wet) We just love this city . There's definitely something for everyone

Plenty of shops, restaurants and nice scenery with good shading which prevents you getting too hot. Architecture is also very nice.

Rethimno old town is fun place lots of shops and restaurants. Go to Vasilis restaurant wonderfully prepared Creten food worth the travel up the hill past all the tourist pizza joints. You won't be disappointed.
