During this 1-day walking tour, you'll get the chance to view several of Batumi's most popular attractions, including the Alphabetic Tower, Europe Square, and the Medea Monument.

What to expect?


Stop At: Europe Square, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • You'll start by walking with our guide from Central Park, along M.Abashidze Avenue, eventually making your way through Europe Square.

Stop At: Medea Monument, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • Here, you will see the monument of Colchian Princess Medea, while your guide fills you in on the fascinating story of the Argonauts and the Golden Fleece.

Stop At: Astronomical Clock, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • Moving on, you'll tour the Astronomical Clock overlooking Europe Square. Besides the time of day, the clock also shows astronomical information, such as the placement of the sun and the moon, the moon phase, the meridian, and the horizon.

Stop At: Fountain Of Neptune, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • Continuing on, you'll come to the Statue of Neptune, which is a replica of a statue located in Bologna, Italy.

Stop At: Batumi Drama Theatre, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • Here, you'll see the Batumi Drama Theater which dates back to 1952, and is named after Ilia Chavchavadze.

Stop At: Batumi Boulevard, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • Here, your guide will take you to one of the main attractions of the city: Batumi Boulevard. The wide boulevard follows the seaside & is full of beach bars, cafes, lounges, restaurants, amusement rides for children, and various "dancing" fountains. In addition to the area's unique vegetation, you will find many interesting sculptures and architectural monuments. Batumi Boulevard has a history of over a century, with its construction beginning in 1881.

Stop At: Colonnades, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • On the boulevard, you'll get to see one of the main landmarks and symbols of Batumi: the Colonnades. Built in the 1930s, colonnades were originally meant to represent the entrance to the sea. Near the colonnades, there's also an architecturally unique wooden building, the Summer Theater.

Stop At: Miracle Park, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • This seaside path will lead you to Miracle Park.

Stop At: Alphabetic Tower, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • At Miracle Park, you will see the Alphabetic Tower. It combines the structural design of DNA, in its familiar double helix pattern, and 33 unique letters of the Georgian alphabet.

Stop At: Lighthouse, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • After the Alphabet Tower, you'll walk to the Batumi Lighthouse nearby. This 21-meter lighthouse found on the port of Batumi was constructed in 1882 by French engineers. It is an octagonal structure, made of stone and shaped like a house, with the optical light equipment installed on top of it.

Stop At: Monument Ali and Nino, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • Here, you'll see an eight-meter-high rotating statue of a man and a woman. Representing eternal love, the statue is based on the novel of the same name - Ali and Nino.

Pass By: Chacha Tower, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • Here, you'll pass by the Tower of Chacha. This tower is 25 meters high, and there is a clock on top of it. Chacha is traditional Georgian grape vodka, and on occasions, it flows out of the nearby basins for the visitors to drink.

Stop At: Argo Cable Car, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • After passing by the Batumi yacht club and part of the seaport you will move up to the mountain by cable car. On the mountain top, there is an observation deck. From here, you can see all of Batumi.

Stop At: Piazza Square, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • After enjoying panoramic views of Batumi, you will head to one of the old town's main attractions: Piazza Square. The square is surrounded by a complex of hotels, restaurants, cafes, and pubs. The architecture is distinguished by mosaics and stained glass art.

Stop At: Church of St. Nicholas, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • Next to Piazza Square, you will see the Church of St. Nicholas, built in the late 1860s and early 1870s.

Stop At: Armenian Apostolic Church, Batumi, Adjara Region

  • You will pass by the Armenian Apostolic Church, which used to be a planetarium during the times of the Soviet Union. Later, you will go and taste traditional Georgian wine, after which you will go to enjoy a local dish in the shape of a boat: Adjarian Khachapuri.
