- Visit Telavi - the former capital of Kakheti kingdom and home to King Erekle II. Today Telavi is the administrative center of the region and the heart of Kakhetian winemaking. Visit a private vintner, who is famous for his natural Qvevri wines - a technology that was almost extinguished during the late Soviet period. Taste the unique Amber wines perfectly paired with a traditional light lunch.
