7 Shota Rustaveli Ave, T'bilisi, Georgia
A beautiful modern facility with multi floors. All glass interior stairwells and elevators. All artist are Georgians from the last 80 years. A very broad range of artistic talents are on display. The way the art is displayed is hard to follow. You read the artist biography and if you walk the wrong way your looking at another artist work. Small direction lines on the floor would greatly improve the experience. Are color code dots on biography and under the art. This is a large museum cost 15.00 GEL Lira ($5.00 US) plan to spend 4 or more hours. A 20.00 GEL Liar two (2) day pass would be great.
Really interesting exposition. Sometimes too much works of just one artist. Also, Georgian Museum of Fine Arts should really be called Museum of Georgian Fine Arts. There's not a piece of art from another country there. It's not a disadvantage, but the name is a bit confusing. Museum shop offers really smart and pretty gifts.
I liked the building and much of the art. But of all the artists whose work is displayed there are only a handful or less of women artists. Surely Georgia can do better.
Latest museum in the city. Very clean and modern design with beautiful artwork of different Georgian designers and painters. A must see for museum and art enthusiasts. There is also a nice coffee shop and museum store at the entrance. Great to buy a souvenir or having a relaxed coffee.
A great modern museum of Georgian art. Give it two hours. There is a cafeteria with a terrace. There is a pleasant park with a playground for children next to the museum.
