On this five-day small group tour through the Loire Valley, you'll get to sip wine under the setting French sun, explore vineyards and learn about the wine production process, and explore medieval castles while you're at it! This is no ordinary tour with 40 group members wearing the same shirt, this is a well-organised tour for those interested in French, culture, history, and wine!
On day one we'll arrive at your accommodation before taking a trip to nearby Chateaux de Chambord and Cheverny. We'll then enjoy an early dinner at a premium French brasserie in Blois city center before wine tasting baking at the hotel.
Day two begins with a trip to Chateau de Blois and lunch at a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon we'll head to Chateau de Chenonceau, Amboise, and Le Clos Lucé before returning for dinner near the hotel.
Day three brings with it a tour of the city center and a stop-off at the incredible cathedral St. Gatien, but there's also time for a spot of shopping. Next up is lunch in Vouvray and a spot of wine tasting before continuing on to Montlouis-Sur-Loire to visit the vineyards and learn about the wine fabrication process.
Day four will be spent with a visit to Chinon and Saumur, two historical cities which also hold some of the finest wines of France. Enjoy wine tastings of Saumur-Champigny and Chinon. After, the wine tasting continues as we float down the Loire River with glasses in hand!
On the tours final day, we pay a visit to the Chateau de Chaumont-Sur-Loire and its worldwide famous gardens before enjoying lunch at a Winery in Candé-Sur-Beuvron. Finally, we visit the Chateau d’Ussé (the Sleeping Beauty castle).
