We loved the visit. The gardens are well designed and maintained. For two hours, we felt transported away from France into an exotic world. It was just a shame the coffee shop was closed, the only way to get a drink was from a vending machine. The pool garden are dissapointing but the Laos village is very well done.
A beautiful garden with interesting little corners. Was nice to see the steam train pull in. A lovely interesting walk with different features. The bamboo was a nice cool area shade from the beating sun.. other areas could do with some shade too.
A lovely day out. The wait at the ticket office was the worst thing, as we arrived on the train with lots of other people!! Otherwise, great. Plan to spend about 3 hours or so, with lots of walking. A nice gift shop too, but a bit pricey.
I've been coming to this place since I was a kid and it's always a pleasure to walk around. If you take your time, you can spend about 3 hours there, and you should take your time to observe all the beautiful plants! I especially love to come during autumn when the gingko looks like it's made of gold.
Lovely bamboo garden with a nice walking route. To see everything and take pictures, I'd recommend to take at least 2 hours for this visit (without children ;)). In the garden itself It's not allowed to eat anything, but there it's a terrace in front of the garden where you can eat anything you brought with you.
