Wander around in the most beautiful winter scenery of Riisitunturi National Park. This fell is a real winter wonderland. The snowy trees on top of the peak are a unique phenomenon, and the silent view continues for as long as you can see.
In January the magical blue light surrounds us. The arctic day is so short that it is already dark when we walk back using headlamps. In February we start to get more sunlight, and in March is spring time. Then we have long days, sun, snow and more snow.
We'll wander around with snowshoes, follow trails, and find our way through deep snow. By the campfire you'll hear stories about Riisitunturi Fell and the nature around us, and enjoy a trail meal. For every campfire we make, we also plant a tree somewhere in the world.
Tour duration is 5-6 hours including transfers (45+45 minutes) from Ruka, and the distance is 4-8 km depending on the group's wishes.
