I walked through the wrong door and was hustled out forcibly for not having a sticker on my jacket. Not impressed with the customer service! Either provide better signage or make it free. Art is about creating a response in the viewer, and this woman certainly did that....but won't be going back there anytime soon 🤨.
Wonderful space for contemporary art. Perfect visit if you walk up brick lane round the corner afterwards for a pint or a Bengal dinner.
The space is huge but they could use it more efficiently with the arrangements. The temperature is various between different galleries. You have to adapt yourself to some very chilly ones.
Friendly gallery with interesting free exhibitions and some paid. The new Anna Maria Maiolino is worth seeing.
A really lovely building both inside and out. On the day we visited there were very few exhibits that caught our attention and it did feel a bit like they were between exhibitions with some spaces empty. Worth a visit and I'm sure it would be great on another day.
