Karnak, Luxor, Luxor Governorate, Egypt
This is by far the most impressive temple I have seen. It is so ridiculous big and huge and by imaging the alley of Sphinx back in the days makes it even more impressive. Also the huge 132 Pilas with all the hieroglyphics from top to bottom.
Fantastic place to visit, can’t believe this is still in great condition. A must see in Luxor, from all the original colours on top of the pillars was truly amazing. How they built this is mind blowing. Was very hot so I recommend sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. (I went in Late September 2019) * Have to pay for toilets
If you're in Luxor visiting the Temple of Karnak is a must see. It's an amazing place. The sheer scale is breathtaking, and the amount of history, crammed into those walls just fascinating. I'd thoroughly recommend a guide who knows what's what, as I just don't think you'd get that detail from a guide book. If possible, get a small group. I would certainly recommend visiting during the day with a good guide over the evening show.
Great temple you can see a different mythological creature here which is almost same as the Sphinx but has a head of ram instead. Quite a big "temple" as it is a collection of 11 individual temples. Here you can see the obelisk built by Hatshepsut and also a giant Scarab beetle which is believed to grant your wishes.
An ancient place with unique atmosphere and architecture. While walking here, one can Imagine himself being a King of old Egypt. Although you need to take a travel guide with you, so he could explain you the legends and Writings on the wall.
