If you’d rather take to the canals of Copenhagen in your own little boat Go Boat is the place to go. These eco friendly boats (No noisy, polluting Diesel engine here) are very easy to control. They can hold up to 8 people and have a table bolted in the middle to hold your food and drink as you cruise along at your own pace. The staff are very friendly and provide a map, showing where you can and can’t go and have clearly marked areas which are one way only. This part is kind of important if you don’t want to meet one of the large tour boats coming towards you in a narrow canal!
Went three times already with different groups of coworkers, friends and family, including kids, and enjoyed it each time. A unique opportunity to see the city from a different angle. Friendly service, no wasting time. You just get in the boat and go.
Really nice boat rental! Very affordable and you can enjoy touring around the canals at your own pace. The tour boats go so fast and I’m glad we didn’t book with them quite honestly.
Totally worth a try! They provide you with a map and explain where you can go if you rent for, say, an hour. And then you have your picnic breakfast while watching beautiful Copenhagen architecture. On a 1-hour ride you go around Christiania and pass Nyhavn (rather fast, we only had several minutes to take photos as we needed to turn there and the boat can't just stand, but maybe it's just us.
So, I thought it was a good idea to rent self-navigating boats, despite having two non-swimming adults on board... and... I WAS RIGHT! What fun is this! New favorite canal sightseeing thing. Must repeat.
