This tour offers you the perfect chance to explore Croatia’s oldest and most prominent national park. The Plitvice Lakes park is a series of lakes and cascades which create a series of waterfalls. This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains sights so marvelous they must simply be seen in person to truly be enjoyed.
The Plitvice lakes parks are known for two things, their prominent waterfalls, and their crystal clear lakes. There are 16 lakes to explore, and over 90 waterfalls to marvel at.
The park contains a diverse variety of flora and fauna, notably having countless species of plants, orchids, birds, and bats. The park is also home to larger animals, such as bears, wolves, and the European lynx (no worries, these larger animals are reserved to a secluded area in the park).
This day tour to the Plitvice Lakes will start off with a guided walk in the park, you will then be provided with free time to wander on your own. The tour also includes a free 30 minute boat ride on the park's largest lake, Kozjak. During your free time you will also have a chance to grab lunch or coffee. Once you have enjoyed the park to its fullest, an tram will take you back to the entrance where a driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
This tour is heavily walking oriented, as such it is not recommended for those with mobility issues.
