Small, cozy atmosphere. Very good food. The sea bass was prepared perfectly, grilled crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The streets of the old city made it a difficult to find since it is identified by a small handwritten sign. Small choice of wines.

Wonderfully hearty, classic food in the meat and fish department. They had a vegetarian pasta dish (which was delicious and had no cheese so should be vegan) and another could have easily been adapted. Very cheap prices for Split as well with friendly service. The restaurant is now in two sections, with a larger seating area across from the original tiny restaurant. People were queuing from 6pm, it's popular!

This restaurant is something else. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. I would especially recommend the shrimps. Good to know: across the street this restaurant has another hall with seats where it is much more comfortable. The small seating area gets very hot because of the poor AC and the cooking that's going on. I would still recommend this highly.

Something to know about this place is that they don’t take reservations so if you are planning to come here come early and prepare to wait 30 minutes sometimes more. Worth waiting. Food is great, place is very cozy and you can even see how they prepare your food if you were lucky enough to get a seat next to the chef. Menu changes all the time so whatever you had today you may not see it tomorrow. ***Cash only*** In the picture is a Sea Bass with smashed potatoes - delicious- , Swiss chard and Bonito Fish also with mashed potatoes and Swiss chard. You can’t go wrong with this place.

Top 3 dinners in my 2 months of traveling around Europe. This is an incredible homey, no-frills dining experience. With just a dozen (small) tables or so and a hand-written menu that changes with whichever ingredients are fresh, you will be in for an amazing treat if you are able to get a table. Portions are large and prices are a great value. I would recommend going for lunch or EARLY dinner before the line forms and / or ingredients run out (by the time I left around 8:30pm half the menu was sold out). The roasted vegetables and cheese salad was one of the simplest but best dishes I have had in my life.
