Fantastic atmosphere and outstanding food. Had 7-courses for lunch, and this was the best restaurant-experience for years - by far. Highly recommended!
If only there were more stars to give! This was a very special dinner. We had the full menu, ten courses I think. Everything was amazing. The restaurant space is part dining room, artist studio, and kitchen. It is very friendly and personal. The menu changes regularly depending on the quality, freshness, and provenance of the ingredients available to the chef at any given time. Diners not only benefit from the creative minds in the kitchen but also from Chef Tvrtko Sakota's cultivation of long term relationships with the best food and wine producers in the region. This is definitely the best fine dining experience in Zagreb. It is much more than a dinner out. Going to NAV is an event. We will be back for sure!
Nav is Restaurant owned by Chef Tvrtko Šakota and it represents his vision about fine dining. It is pretty unique experience in Zagreb. Food is very good and innovative. Wine choice is not the best or ideal one. But there are some very good wines on the list. All in all great addition to Zagreb restaurant scene.
My teenage daughter and I wanted to have a nice meal at Nav as a break from Zagreb center walking tour. Upon arriving we waited to be seated and that’s when the waiter told us that Nav is a place for “serious food” and not for a quick meal. He concluded, based on our looks, that we were not up for serious food. Then he explained that they had tasting menus of minimum 5 dishes (specifically minimum 75 min duration, as if it is too long for our sort), especially not “interesting for a young lady”. If there was a dress code w/o sneakers, he should have told us. But this way, we were just judged and disrespected. Definitely crossing Nav from my list and not recommending it.
Brilliant cooking, extreme attention to detail. We had a 7 course vegan meal and the head chef personally explained and introduced each course. This is fine dining at its best, world class approach to food and service. The wine selection was interesting.
