The best ice in the world bar none. Though I may be biased, but seriously, my favourite way to do cardio. Beautiful complex, beautiful ice.
This is a legacy facility from the 1988 Winter Olympics that is located on the grounds of the University of Calgary. The observation areas are open to the public and you can watch speed skaters train. This is a favorite place to visit and rub elbows with young athletes from around the world. The staff are caring and hospitable to out of town visitors.
Skating here is great it’s warm and the ice is well taken care of and the facility well managed
Great place to skate any time of the year. Well-maintained premises and ice.
Site of 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic speed skating oval. Still in use today for competition and training by international skaters. Ice quality is world class due to perfect combination of temperature, humidity and other variables. Very hard and perfectly flat for world leading times.
