Definitely worth going at least once if you live in the Vancouver area! The hike is not too difficult and the views are just spectacular. In my opinion, the best view and the most fun is at the second lake, however I think it is definitely worth climbing to the third lake to have a nice picnic on the rocks looking out across the lake. Remember to bring lots of water and some layers as it can get quite cold up there! I also highly recommend taking some reflection pictures by the water!

An intermediate level hike suitable for anyone. The hike is mainly focused towards covering the view and the serenity of 3 lakes. The lower, middle and upper Joffre lakes. It begins with a 5 minute walk to the lower lake which showcases a glimpse of what you might find at the end of the hike. The hike to the second lake is long. It will take you between 90 minutes to 120 minutes. Make sure you enjoy the view during the walk to the second lake. There is a log that extends to the the lake which is a picture perfect spot for adrenaline junkies. It’s a 100% guarantee that you will fall into the water when you reach the end of the log. Be cautious! The hike to the upper lake is challenging. It will take you 30 minutes to 60 minutes! But you will be enthusiastic enough to complete it after seeing the beauty of the second lake. Once you reach the upper lake, you will see the glacier melting to the water. What a place! P.S: The birds in the upper lake area are very friendly and may even rest on your palm and fingers if you are generous enough to offer bird food :P

Very beautiful place and worth to come at least once of your life. First lake is easy to arrive and with enough beautiful views. Second lakes, which is the most beautiful I think Third lakes also very amazing, especially with the glacier 1. Parking is really a problem, suggest come earlier. We arrived at 8:30. 2. Not very easy trail. From first lake to second lake, third lake, it's not a very easy trail, remember wear a suitable shoes and bring enough water 3. Bring food. It takes about 3 hours to the third lake, you can rest there, enjoy your food with the amazing glacier just right in front of you.

Very difficult hike with lots of steps and rocks. Would not recommend to go with small kids, as i noticed kids were super exhausted halfway. You can easily go to the 1st lake even with kinds. May to the second one too. Be prepared if you are planning to go to the 3rd one. Its amazing as you get closer to the glacier. Take time as recommended and you can do all three.

This used to be a hidden gem of a place, but it has become incredibly busy and highly traffic in the last few years. Arrive very early in the morning if you want to have some peace and quiet along the trail, or you can also book a campsite beyond the furthest lake so you can stay in the park. The hike in can be quite steep at first, but it gets easier...eventually.
