Hwy 28, Campbell River, BC V9H 1P1, Canada
It's our first time back in the park and on the trails since May because the summer was eaten up with renovations and 4children.ca work. Just love walking through the trails rain or shine. Nothing better for rejuvenating and relaxing in nature. Just what we needed. If your in Campbell River ... Go here. You will not be disappointed. Elks Falls rocks too .. bonus
The waterfalls at this park are beautiful and the best viewpoints are only a short walk from the parking lot, which has plenty of parking. The best viewpoints are the suspension bridge and the deck directly across from Elk Falls. The hike there is good for all ages, however the loop has some steeper areas that may not be suitable for older people. I highly recommend coming to see the waterfall.
Walking along the paths were very easy to maneuver around. The addition of signage and suspension bridge a very nice addition. Being from the prairies I appreciate the beauty of the forest ,rocks and water. Definitely beautiful.
Awesome place to go for an easy walk with a great view of the falls once your reach the lookout. The suspension bridge is a great addition, if you're brave enough to walk across it. Lots of parking, well marked maps along the trail, and great for bringing your little ones. If you have a dog, I don't recommend bringing it down to the lookout, the walkway is terrible on their paws.
This place is amazingly beautiful and awe inspiring. I've been coming here for over 25 years and it's always fascinating in it's beauty. I love standing inside the giant hollowed out trees. The suspension bridge is very sturdy and safe. The picture is from the small falls at the end of the trails. A few of my group went swimming in the chilly pools.
