This place has such a nice atmosphere, with real country hospitality. I love the recipe books scattered around the tables. Great simple menu of locally sourced food, and cooked to perfection. And the coffee is amazing. Highly recommend.
Could nor fault the service, ambience & mist inportantly the food. Dishes were creative and very tasty. Great coffee. Will be back soon.
Quaint cafe in lovely Newstead. Had the Breakfast Naan which was great. Good tea and coffee too. Fab service. Looking forward to going back soon!
A delightful cafe in the heart of the Victorian village of Newstead. A warm country welcome and delicious, freshly prepared food. The pot of tea was leaf tea and not a tea bag. Lovely Latin and Afro music in the background. Overall a really warm vibe to match the heritage style building. A Walk between the two central counters of the cafe takes you through to the Mud Room. A shop featuring anything from Yabby traps to hand knitted beanies for bubs. The Mud Room also features a toothsome selection of home made preserves.
Good coffee. Great home made huge chocolate freckles. Lovely sitting outside in the winter sun. Remember this place well as the Old Red door collectibles store, now crafted into a characterful cafe in a historic building. One thing; of the 4 cakes on display 3 had nuts. Way to go to narrow down your revenue opportunities eliminating those with nut allergies or just those that dislike nuts so we ended up spending less than we intended to.
