Glen Eadie Ave, Healesville VIC 3777, Australia
Animals are in beautiful natural surroundings. Playground was great for a 5 year old and the zoo keeper talk we listened to was very informative and interesting. Only criticism was the limited range of food at the 2 small kiosks. Good food and coffee at the main cafe.
We visited from SA. My biggest wish was to see a real life Platypus. I was not disappointed! Sanctuary is well kept, and we were able to witness an amazing bird show. There were birds eating from my hand. Saw Wombats, kangeroos, koalas and many Aussie native animals. Really wonderful experience. Well worth a visit.
It's Healesville Sanctuary, famous, good reputation, animals in large enclosures. All look healthy. Take your time, and see our unique Australian animals. Platypus exhibit is popular and can be crowded, so may take a couple of times to see more thoroughly. For me a bit to much voice over commentary on occasion
It's been a number of years since I've been to the Sanctuary. Wow how it's changed. It's fantastic. Entertaining for young and old. There's plenty of parking. Cafe's offer decent food at reasonable prices. The stand out for me is the bird life. A must for school holidays.
Amazing! So many animals and a very strong conservation message. The platypus show was a favourite. We got there just after the gates opened and spent 5hours exploring every part we could!
